Solifi

I didn't know what this heading should be. We were recently asked to integrate our top-notch CRM system to this new - gen , cloud based B2B SaaS TMA(that too many acronyms) for outbound sales. And the problem we keep hitting is that their database tries to store as little information as possible.

Solifi has a foreign key reference field to store an external id. But it cannot hold texts. Only numbers. And it is only 30 chars long.

Solifi's field which stores email ids, is 50 chars long. But the RFC standard says that emails can be upto 254 chars long. Yep, that does not bother them.

Name fields are all 50 chars long. And they can only store 1 phone number and 1 email.

And 1 address.

Today was day 1. I am sure there are more surprises on the way.
